Thuja occidentalis 'Brabant' White Cedar, American Arborvitae
Thujas resemble Cypresses, but differ from them by their usually narrower pyramidal growth, their coarser scaled needles and their specific strong smell. They are less demanding on the soil than cypresses and thrive on both dry and slightly wet soils. They generally tolerate light to moderate pruning. and are not very susceptible to diseases.
