Very good new selection from the common Thuja occidentalis. Tolerates pruning very well, making this variety very suitable for forming hedges and windbreaks. Dense pyramidal growth. At a width of 10 metres, this species does not grow much wider than 2m50. Grows on any soil and is very winter-hardy.

Thujas resemble Cypresses, but differ from them by their usually narrower pyramidal growth, their coarser scaled needles and their specific strong smell. They are less demanding on the soil than cypresses and thrive on both dry and slightly wet soils. They generally tolerate light to moderate pruning. and are not very susceptible to diseases.
